Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique keycase to celebrate the brand's centenary. It's made of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes an eagle-like "B" paperweight keys, as well as an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.
This is a great way to greet a new owner of a vehicle.
Aesthetics
As a design-oriented company Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. It's evident in the exact position of its quilting, the choice of leather sourced from the by-products of cattle, wood that comes from sustainably managed forests and the innovative patterns on its levers. As you approach a car like the Continental GT W12, its sculptural beauty is displayed through carefully selected lighting.
The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever designed. The rear tonneau of the Continental GT, for instance, featured the biggest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
Bentley is the most sought-after brand in the automotive industry in the world due to its bespoke design and craftsmanship. The firm continues to push the boundaries by utilizing the most advanced technology and manufacturing techniques, such as the introduction of the digital instrument cluster with an electric tilt-opening back glass sunroof, a custom-designed docking station for Apple iPads, and electrochromic 'smart' glass that can be switched from opaque to transparent by the button.
bentley replacement key celebrated its 100th anniversary in the year 2019 a century after it was established. The marque, which is now owned by Volkswagen on its own after years of conflict with BMW and Volkswagen, has planned a range of special launches and events to celebrate this historic occasion. Before the pandemic planning took center stage, the marque had a range of special events and launches planned to mark this milestone event.
Design
Bentley is famous for its extravagant and lavish automobiles and keys, but even keys are made to stand out. The Bentayga key is made from sterling silver and has an oversized 'B' logo which lets everyone know that you drive a Bentley. The key is also engraved with the dates 1919 and 2019, to mark the company’s centenary.
The Mulsanne was revamped and redesigned by Bentley Mulliner to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. The rear seats were designed to provide passengers with unparalleled comfort and privacy. They were inspired by the luxury private aircraft. A custom heating, air conditioning and ventilation system has been designed to ensure each passenger has the perfect climate control setting.
In addition to a set of elegantly executed styling revisions and a host of elegantly executed styling changes, the Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine capable of producing 560bhp as well as 479lbft of torque. This power is paired with a new suspension that offers Bentley's signature smooth ride.
In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a bespoke specification known as the Centenary Specification for cars manufactured in 2019. The cabin features cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests, seats and other areas of the car. This adds to the celebration. A custom Bentley key case is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.
Function
The Bentley Mulsanne key has buttons that open the trunk, as well as a button that turns on the car. It also has a switch that can turn on the parking break. There is a knob that can fold and unfold the mirrors when parking in tight spaces. This feature can aid you in getting in and out of your vehicle more easily.
Each key takes about two days to make. It is cut by hand to shape, sewn sealed, and polished to produce an excellent finish. It is compact and strong and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is reminiscent of the Volkswagen Phaeton's massive car key, but it feels more heavy and luxurious.
It also comes with Secure-A-Key, which helps prevent keyless entry theft. The device is placed inside the remote-control key fob and is turned off after a few minutes of inactivity, preventing thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the company's values of excellence in craftsmanship and engineering expertise as well as cutting-edge technology. The headquarters in Crewe is home to more than four hundred employees who are responsible for the development, design and production of Bentley vehicles. These workers apply skills that have been handed through generations to current automotive technologies. This is British manufacturing at its best.
Personalisation
Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their car. The "mood station" lets customers pick images that inspire them. These could range from picturesque vistas to sporting events. After each selection is made, a pattern is created that reveals the model and color preferences for the custom Bentley.
The configuration that is created is loaded onto individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are handed out to the guests in a hand-crafted key case. Keys can also be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps, which illuminate the door-opening pathway with the owner's name or logo when they arrive at the vehicle.
Bentley estimates it takes approximately 500 man-hours in order to create and put together the typical Mulsanne. The main reason for this lengthy effort is a reluctance to embrace the latest technology. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly matched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers must park their vehicles manually, rather than using the built-in sensors to direct them to parallel and perpendicular spots.
Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization capabilities in a unique Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays tribute to founder William Osler Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars include the key, which displays the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
